Team Carly Fridman is proud to once again be participating in The Shoebox Project this holiday season. Founded in Toronto in 2011, The Shoebox Project distributes decorated shoeboxes filled with a variety of necessities and treats to women in need. Due to the circumstances, The Shoebox Project has gone virtual this year.
The Shoebox Project is a tangible and creative opportunity to give back directly to someone in your very own community. It’s a small, simple gesture of kindness that has an immediate, positive impact on the woman who receives it.
Join us and create your own!
If you are interested in participating in this amazing project, please visit their website to make your own virtual shoebox.

Supporting Your Local Community
As we continue to practice social distancing, I want to share 5 things we can all do to provide much needed support to our communities and keep ourselves healthy.
Buy Gift Cards
To support our local businesses and restaurants, think about buying a gift card to spend when they re-open. It will be a gift to your future self!
Donate Clothing & Shoes
It’s a great time to sort your gently used clothing and shoes into keep, toss, and donate piles. If you haven’t worn it in the past 2 years, it’s gotta go!
Donate to Food Banks
Do you need all the beans? I know that you, like many, stock-piled some canned goods that may actually never be used. Consider donating to those in need.
With Passover and Easter upon us, it’s important to remember that we must social distance no matter how difficult. This week I had a virtual seder with my family!
The best thing to do during these uncertain times is to keep yourself and others as safe as possible by staying home and washing your hands consistently.
Rental Season 2020
As always, May, June and July will be extremely busy for the rental market. The majority of tenants will have had to give their notice of renewal by April 1st. This means that they will begin to shop for a new rental or possibly even a new purchase. July 1st still remains the busiest moving day of the year.

In addition to keeping you updated on the current market, it is also time to release my bi-annual newsletter. This edition focuses on how the 2019 Montreal market fared in comparison to 2018 and how 2020 will continue as a strong sellers market. I also share some great information about the 2 most profitable room renovations for your home as well as what it means to be in a multiple offer situation and how to best prepare yourself.
I imagine that you are all asking yourselves various questions about the impact of COVID-19 not only on the real estate market in general but also on your personal situations. Although the impact of the virus is difficult to measure, the fundamental building blocks of the real estate market remain strong and stable. Often when the stock market is uncertain and experiences turmoil, the investment in tangible goods increases. New listings are still consistently coming onto the market and sales are being made sight-unseen when the proper tools are used. Click HERE to read the full newsletter.

Always here for you
Though we can’t meet in person, I am always just an email or call away.
Additionally, I am offering the opportunity to schedule a Zoom video conference call with me so that I may provide you with property evaluations, help prepare you to list with custom home staging advice and/or help you assess your home buying needs so that we’re ready to go when the time comes… and the time WILL come!
I hope that you are staying safe, healthy, and vigilant during these unprecedented times.
As Quebec enters the official #StayAtHome period, I would like to reassure you that I will continue to be available for all your real estate needs.
According to the provincial government, the real estate industry (brokers and brokerages) is not considered an essential business. Therefore, we currently fall under businesses that can no longer operate face-to-face. This means that visits, in-person offer presentations, and listing presentations will not be possible. Other real estate related businesses/services that have been declared non-essential:
- Inspectors; no inspections will take place therefore delays must be extended
- Bank evaluations; financing delays must be extended
- Land surveyors; no certificates of location will be issued at this time
Buyers and sellers scheduled to notarize transactions between now and April 13 can breathe a sigh of relief because it was announced today that notaries are declared an essential service. If you are currently in a real estate transaction with me, please contact me about what your notary is doing to maintain covid-19 practices as well as ensure your transaction is moving forward. For any general inquires please consult Chambre des Notaires du Quebec.
What I am Offering
For clients who are considering buying or selling, I am offering the opportunity to schedule a Zoom video conference call with me so that I may provide evaluations, help prepare your home with staging advice and/or help you asses your home buying needs so that we’re ready to go when the time comes. To schedule a zoom meeting please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some great news- on top of all the current marketing we’re doing, several of my properties will be available to view as virtual 3D tours by the beginning of next week. Stay tuned to my website for updates. Listings are still trickling onto the market and hopefully virtual visits for those properties will be made available.
At all times you can count on my professionalism, integrity, and devotion in supporting your real estate needs. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any and all of your questions.
